Hello, everyone! I won't waste too much space explaining my back-story, because it's more than likely that you already know me from GothNoWriMo, HistNoWriMo, or even NaNoWriMo. Still, in the unlikely case you do not know me, I'll try to keep everything short and sweet... I am Anne Shepherd (nom de plume), a rather eccentric 13 year old novelist with a penchant for the occult. Creepy fae? I'm there. Demons? Oh yeah. Vampire pumpkins? Nom nom. I'll make a pie. My point is, I'm a bubbly little redhead who thrives in the festering crevices and dark corners in the human (or perhaps, the non-human) psyches. I'm participating in GothNoWriYe because one month of racing hearts and shadows in the wrong places, of sounds in the middle of the night, isn't long enough for me. Besides, for once I've found a place where I can connect with people who actually understand my fascination with the real occult, and don't think that the occult means cutting your wrists, wearing clothing that belongs to the opposite gender, and writing bad poetry. I look forward to this year of twisting turns and things that shouldn't be; I cannot wait until the madness commences!

@ Marie: Thanks so much! I look forward to being friends with you, too. Best of luck when Dec. coffin-races its way here! How's the planning going? wolfyone: Thank you! I definitely foresee some comedy around the corner, and I can't wait for it to start, either! I've been itching for an excuse to write one of my more mature plot bunnies (he takes his carrots with scotch, thank you) and PoMoNoWriMo is my ticket! I'm just DYING for December! (That really wasn't a funny pun. I should be locked up for that. )

Hey Anne! I'm glad to see you on here! (Also, you're very mature for a 13 year old!)

Hi, Daemora! It's good to see you on here too! (Haha, thank you! I take pride in being, well, not an immature one! Believe me, there are quite a few. Middle school seems to be a breeding ground for infantilism.)

I have to agree with Daemora. You are very mature for 13, also well spoken and you have a great imagination. Take good care of it and don't let any of the grown ups beat it out of you. (I'm ancient by the way, so I know what I'm talking about!) The adult world does not value the creative mind nearly as much as it should. You have a fine one. Keep on using it and hold tight to your enthusiasm.

Just popping in to introduce myself. I started the November Novel Writing challenge for the first time this year, and picked Wolfyone as a writing buddy. She (thanks wolfy!) left me this website link in her last email, and who could resist checking it out? I am working on an urban fantasy novel; got my 50,000 k words in, and now need to edit & fluff it out all nice and pretty. I am 50+ and living in the lovely coastal town of Victoria, BC. Looking forward to getting to know what looks to be some very original people and participate in the monthlies.

@ seaquille; Well hello there~ It's lovely to have a new member! Your story definitely sounds interesting! Urban fantasy is a fun genre both to read and write- good luck with the editing! I hope you have a lot of fun doing GothNoWriYe this year, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask- we're all more than willing to help out! Welcome to the boards! PS- BC is absolutely gorgeous; I've always wanted to go there, but it's a little far away (I'm in Colorado). I bet it is very lovely this time of year. Anyway, enough of my rambling~ Welcome to GothNoWriYe, we're glad to have you. ~Anne
