So true, wolfyone!
So, as it's the third, I should have already gotten a fair amount of writing done, in all the projects I have going for the month. As it is, my word count is currently nil. Of course, my grandma got some fun family days, so the month is not a loss. Tonight I probbaly won't get anything done, as I knit on Saturdays when Svengoolie is on. Today and Tomorrow I have to finish my English homework, (Semester's almost over, yay!) but maybe tomorrow night I can get some writing done.

If it's any consolation I am having trouble buckling down too. I have done a little bit of editing each day so far, but my concentration is definitely not what it was for Oct and Nov. I think this is going to be a slow month, at least production wise, but that's OK. I'm in it for the long haul.
Sounds like you're having a little bit of fun and that is a good thing. Life is too short and you need to live too, not just write.

You're right wolfyone. Especially when the elderly are involved. No one wants to have regrets when they're gone. And my writing concentration is practically nil. I guess December just feels like fun time for some reason.
So I haven't gotten anything done on Frankensnow, but I have gotten a start on the Blackbourn Christmas, so that should count for something, right? I'll try to get some more writing done tonight.

Alright, so, I have not written anything else as of yet. I realized that our Christmas party is next Saturday, so I have some serious knitting to do. (I'm making bookmarks for everyone!) So, that kind of comes before everything else right now. Then I have to get back on Blackbourn. That's the only project out of several that I've even worked on this month. Kind of wish I had more done, but there'll be time. I'll make it work.

It's hard to get anything done in December. Too many other things, whether it's holiday preparations, parties, finals for those in school... the list just goes on and on. I'm not getting too much done either. Started slow and tapered off. But I hope to get serious tomorrow morning. We're supposed to have icy weather, so no reason to go outside. My plan is to stay in and edit. Here's hoping!

So... I did not write a single word for GothNoWriYe last month. >.< And I kind of don't have any plans for this month, so I might just kind of bow out until February. I really need to work on some other projects, and HistNoWriMo is the only challenge I can do right now. I'll still lurk around through the month though, and I might decide to work on something.

I didn't get as much done as I had planned. I did work on editing, but I am a long way from being finished. I thought I would get one book wrapped up. Not even close. So my January plan is to keep going on editing. Hopefully there will be less distractions this month, though I got a Kindle finally and I'm having a hard time not spending every minute just reading.

I can see how that would be a big distraction! Good luck with your editing!

I'm really thinking of devoting February to editing and working on the episodic literatures I'm so behind on. It's also the month of my birthday, so I want to have a lot of fun. Plus, there's costume making for Anachrocon. I think that, come march, I will really be ready to tackle a nice, dark project for GothNoWriYe. As long as classes aren't too stressful. I just don't know which project I want to work on then. I'd like to kind of have it in mind, so I can get all excited about it when the time comes. I write easier that way. I just don't outline. And I really just wanted to post here so I won't forget to keep checking in, because I love it here, and I love you guys.

I was really planning on trying to do something for GothNoWriYe this month, if only just to hang out here with you all and bring the boards back to life a little, but right now I'm working on an epic fantasy project that is really consuming me, I want to write it so bad, and I'm way behind on edits for the NaNoWriMo novel, so I'm going to have to skip this month as well.
Is anyone thinking of doing either of the Camp NaNoWriMo this year? I'm thinking I might, but without taking it too seriously like 'the real thing'.
Hope you guys are all doing well with your writing!

Hey Daemora; I totally know how you feel. I have five major projects I HAVE to get done before August/September (starting high school is going to be stressful) and three of them are nothing but massive editing. Every time I try to loosen up and do one of my GothNoWriYe stories, I always get sidetracked because I'm too busy either fantasizing or worrying about "The Big 5". All I can say is go for it: it's better to write and enjoy it, and 'lose' a WriMo, than it is to force yourself into unenjoyable writing and lose a great idea. Besides, epic fantasy is great fun to write. This month I'm giving up on my little plot bunnies and tackling one of the Biggies: I'm rewriting my /lost/ GothNoWriMo novel from last October. I revitalized the plot for the last time, and now I'm ready to get it down on paper in a clean draft format, and not an overgrown brainstorm. I'm also editing my HistNoWriMo (though I'm having a conundrum with that, lol) I'm definitely doing Camp NaNo this year, either in June or July. If I'm super behind with my projects, I'll do Camp NaNo in August and even September too. If I'm not done before 9th grade, I'll at least be done before NaNo 2012 xD. What month were you thinking of 'camping out'? Writing 50 K is so much easier when you have company. Good luck with your epic fantasy work!

I am doing Camp Nano too. I am going for August and July or June is when the first month starts. Hope to see you and Daemora on it as well.

Hi guys! I'm sorry I've been so quiet lately. I haven't been workin on any gothic projects, just the epic fantasy, and college and crafts. I probably won't try for the August edition of CampNaNoWriMo, as fall semester will probably be starting around then, but I'll try to do the first one. I'd love for us all to try and hang out around then, and cheer each other on.
I know what project I'll be working on for GothNoWriMo this year, and NaNoWriMo I'll be working on the next installment of the epic fantasy series. In the meantime, I'm hoping to just get various work done on the main projects, like editing past drafts, and chipping away at the new novels, maybe trying to work on the episodic literatures...
So how is everything going with you all?

Ooh, I love dark retellings! Sounds really cool! Everything's doing pretty. Unexpectedly shifted focus to a different story this week. Makes things a little out of whack, but I'm enjoying the writing craziness.
